5 Things Brides Forget

Planning a wedding is no small feat. With all that is going on and all that has to be remembered, some small details are sometimes forgotten. This post is dedicated to those few small

things that are sometimes overlooked on your wedding day.

#1 : A beautiful bridal hanger

Morgan's Bridal Hanger

A hanger? Really? How could I forget? I adore detail images if you haven’t already noticed. I always photograph wedding details upon arrival for your big day. Often, the hanger that holds up your gorgeous

wedding gown is the one that came with the dress. These aren’t that flattering in images especially compared to the gown they hold. Number 1 is huge on my list. It was pretty huge on my own personal

list when I was planning my own wedding. The hanger doesn’t have to be anything expensive or fancy. It can be personalized or purchased from say Target. Etsy is a great place to find a hanger for any wedding theme.

#2 : The rings

Most of the time the bride already knows how I roll once I arrive. She has the rings waiting for me along with the other wedding details. But, sometimes the grooms best man has run off with the rings in preparation for the

big day. Waiting to give the best man the rings is key in how my workflow is on your wedding day. Don’t forget to keep the rings so that they can be photographed along with the other wedding details. I adore … absolutely adore rings shots!

Also remember to set aside any details from your day before your photographer arrives. Things such as the perfume you will wear, your veil, wedding jewelry and so on. These small details are such a huge part of your day!

#3 : Choosing or Creating a Clean Clutter Free Space for Getting Ready

In my personal opinion, professionally speaking, there is nothing worse than a gorgeous venue, gorgeous reception and so many gorgeous details THEN a horrible getting ready location. Make sure to choose a getting ready

location that flatters you. Good lighting and clutter free spaces can be hard to find sometimes. Keep your mind open when or if your photographer asks you to go outside to complete the “getting into wedding gown” pics after you

are fully covered. This is a great alternative to horrible spaces, horrible lighting or cluttered/not so pretty spaces. I totally just thought of that! The last thing we want to do as photographers is deliver a gorgeous wedding along with

getting ready pics that have drinks bottles, clothing everywhere or just a dark dull space.

Pretty spaces + great light = gorgeous photos!

This space was really great. We did have clothes and hangers and a table here. But with the help of the bridesmaids, we cleared this space within a few minutes. Erica had gorgeous light

pouring in from the window behind her. I love this getting ready pic!

#4 : The Groom’s Details

Not all brides care about grooms details. The day is about her. But is it? I adore a groom who says “SURE” and let’s me photograph his details, him getting ready and some of the emotions going on knowing he is about to see his beautiful bride. This day is your to cherish. I’m here to help you do that! Cherish it all because one day you will look back and these memories will make you smile!
