Hey guys! I know so many of you are curious about my new downtown studio so I thought it would be fun to share the transformation with you.
My new studio is located downtown Evansville! What more could a wedding photographer want? A space to meet with her amazing clients? YES! I am so excited to have such a wonderful little space right off the riverfront. For the longest time I was hosting meet-ups with my brides at local coffee shops and Panera Bread. It was fun but there was so much distraction. People talking, eating, drinking, laughing and I really wanted a more personalized experience for my brides. I also desperately needed better internet. My internet at home is satellite. For those of you who have ever dealt with satellite internet…it is really slow.
I also wanted a place my brides could feel secure and comfortable. All my brides know how much I adore them.
When I first started looking for a space, I had NO idea what I was really looking for. I knew I wanted a space just big enough for a meet-up and a place to work. That’s it! That’s really all I wanted. So instead of trying to find a place alone, I called my very best realtor friend. She hooked me up with a name and number. I was absolutely stoked. So, I took a chance and called. Little did I know this was going to work out fabulously and be the perfect space for my wedding business to call home. This space ended up being much more than a great space. It’s a fabulous little retreat that has my name written all over it. A space made for hosting a meet-up. A space with amazing internet. A space where my brides can come meet me and chit chat, create timelines and create in person orders without feeling stressed! I. am. so. in. love!
{these are all cell images with my handy dandy iPhone}
Here are the images of the space from the beginning through all the hard work. I’m so thankful for them and everything they did! I’m also thankful Kale was right there with me to help me out with decision making and more!
My amazing building manager with her note pad. I know I had so many demands and she was so wonderful getting all of them done for me!
I honestly couldn’t stand this huge exit sign. It had to go 🙂
And the ceilings…they just didn’t go with my chandeliers. It wasn’t the look I really wanted in this space so I knew I wanted a fresh clean new ceiling!
I really loved these cabinets. So we decided the cabinets would stay. About that bathroom though 🙂
In progress. I seriously think I visited this space every other day!
The electricians hung the chandeliers for me. But…I had the hard part. Hanging every single crystal.
And voila! Gorgeous Chandeliers…4.5 hours later 🙂
I did a little shopping but not too much. I really wanted a space that represented my brand. Which meant…it had to be perfect. So I ordered almost everything online and I waited and waited for little things to arrive by UPS. Waiting is so HARD!! But finally things started arriving and my husband {bless him} was there along with me to put everything together.
I’m so excited to have a studio downtown. My little space has almost everything in place for my very first meet-up! I’m stoked! I’ve got a few touches to add but she’s almost ready for her first debut!
I am seriously looking forward to creating the blog post where I share my entire space…completed!
