Phil and Mackenzi had such an amazing ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. The church was huge. Beautiful. Full of candles and winter decor. It was the perfect place + perfect setting for these two to say their vows to one another. I remember photographing Mackenzi walking down the isle with her dad. She smiled really big, held back those tears and her dad could feel it. He looked over at her with this grin. The grin. Ya know the one a dad gives when he is giving his daughter away. That grin. It was really hard not to get emotional. I held it together though.

I then turned my attention to Phil. Oh this boy full of love for this girl. They said their vows, kissed and these two had HUGE smiles on their faces when they turned and looked at all their witnesses. I was just absolutely taken! Love is Love but these smiles were gold! I smiled and giggled and just felt that awesome feeling I feel when I document these moments as a wedding photographer.

We had a blast downtown Huntingburg. The wedding part lined across all of 4th street. It was seriously so much fun watching everyone trying to walk together in a straight line. I LOVED this wedding party. They hit a bar called YMI, grabbed some drinks and then we hit the road to The Jasper Inn where these two made an adorable wedding party entrance.

The reception was amazing. The cake cutting was a total blast. I still have no idea what you two were giggling over but I sure did capture it. Your first dance idea with having the daddy – daughter dance and the mother – son dance at the same time was pretty amazing too. I loved {for the first time} seeing it done this way.

Phil. Mackenzi. Such a blast to photograph your wedding day. I still can’t believe how much fun you guys are. How much fun your wedding party is. And did I ever mention you have seriously cool parents? Well, you do!

I’m SO excited for you guys. For your future. I am absolutely honored to have been the one you chose to document one of the most special days of your lives. I adore you two. I wish you many years of joy, happiness and… racing around on 4-wheelers together 🙂
