Mrs. and Mrs. Hofmann.
I absolutely adore Devin and Becca. These two are the sweetest and had one of the most beautiful weddings at the Old Vanderburgh County Courthouse. I remember meeting with Becca first for an initial meet-up. She told me their love story, showed off her engagement ring and told me all about their big wedding day plans. I remember being super excited for a Mrs and Mrs wedding. Romantic. Beautiful and most of all real. Love is love and these two chose me?! AHH! I was so excited. This was my first Mrs and Mrs wedding and I was over the moon to be the one to capture such a magical day between two amazing women. I was absolutely honored to be a part of their big day, to capture these precious memories and witness the love between these two special ladies.
Devin + Becca decided on a blush and rose gold romantic wedding at the Vanderburgh County Courthouse. They would both wear gorgeous gowns from Ella Park Bridal and jewelry that spoke true to their personalities. They would write and speak their own vows to one another in front of family and friends in the white room. Dinner and Cake would be served in the gorgeous ballroom. Their would be a cute dessert table in front of the bar that would wow. And it sure did. I remember going in to photograph the desserts and giving Kale that look. Ya know the wow look. I was floored by this dainty little desserts. So beautiful you really just wanted to photograph them and tell people not to eat them because they were so pretty! Devin’s mom let me eat cookies. These yummy fluffy butter cookies frosted pink and green. Seriously. I could have eaten 12.
I remember walking into the ballroom and my jaw dropped. When I asked Devin WHO decorated their reception?! She said I did! I was floored. It was amazing, balanced and every single piece of decor is an absolute reflection of Devin, her style and her personality!
I photographed Devin’s details and then witnessed and captured some tender moments between Devin and her mama as she got into her gown. Her grandmother also joined us and I remember looking at this sweet gram thinking what a beautiful day this is to celebrate. A day parents and grandparents wait for. The day their baby girl gets married.
Devin is smart. Emotional and absolutely beautiful. I noticed her pull out her hanky and hold it in her hand in preparation for tender moments. I remember myself holding back a few little awws and tears. This was such a special day for everyone.
My attention then went to Becca. She’s not as emotional as Devin and I love that because these two balance each other out perfectly. Becca has such a contagious smile that is bigger than life and every single moment during this amazing wedding day Becca has a smile on her face. I love that about Becca. She’s quick to show Devin her laughter and love. Calm her emotions. It was amazing to watch and witness the tender moments between these two.
Becca wore gold for her wedding day. She carried a light blue hanky and wore the prettiest lace dress from Ella Park Bridal. Her mama helped her get ready and these two are too cute. There were so many smiles from one to another. Becca was ready to walk down the isle. I mean ready! A year of planning and this girl wanted to enjoy this day to the fullest. But first, I needed to capture all of this goodness for her.
Devin and Becca decided on a first look. I remember asking who will be waiting for who? Who wants to be the one to tap the other on the shoulder? Devin and Becca both agreed that it didn’t matter. So, I chose Becca to tap Devin on the shoulder. It really wouldn’t have mattered but with Devin being the tender hearted partner, I literally couldn’t wait for their first look. I knew the anticipation would grow and as soon as Becca tapped Devin on the shoulder I think we all lost it a bit. Even though these two got ready together the day of, you can’t stop a little tear from flowing when you see the love of your life ready to walk down that isle, confess their love and then tie the knot with you! I photographed Devin first, then Becca and then Kale helped me with their first look.

Set your budget The first thing you really need to do is set your wedding photography budget. This will allow you to know where you are before inquiring. One of the most common mistakes brides make {from my own experience and what I hear in the wedding world} is that brides inquire without really knowing […]
