You guys! I met one of the most amazing couples not too long ago. Karla and Peter. Karla is from Chile! And her entire family live there. I remember talking to her on the phone and wondering about her cute accent. I. Love. It!
While discussing her wedding day plans + details, we started discussing their engagement session. We talked about location, setting, dates and what her and Peter do on a daily basis. I know they wanted their engagement session to be intimate. To include things they love like their amazing apartment. I had never been to Chicago so I was absolutely so excited about traveling to them!
Karla loves to read novels while Peter likes catching up on news. They both enjoy a good meal and having whiskey sours together. A good book, a great movie + some whiskey sours! So we planned one heck of an engagement session at Grant Park and in their lovely little Chicago apartment.
I adore this engagement session so much! I loved seeing Karla twirl around in Grant Park as if nobody was watching. Peter kissing Karla on the forehead while people were watching. Their apartment was so cozy and filled with their favorite things. This session was absolutely perfect and so is their love.
PROPOSAL STORY::
Karla is originally from Chile and her entire family lives there. So last winter Peter and Karla planned a trip to visit Karla’s parents for Christmas and New Years. Summertime in Chile is in December and winter comes in June. It was the best trip ever according to these two. Their family friend owns a vineyard and so they drank tons of delicious wine and ate amazing food while hanging out with family and friends.
They did that for a few days and then headed south to a town called Pucon where Karla spent most of her vacations growing up. Its a ski town with a couple volcanoes and lakes. Peter had booked an amazing hotel called Nidos de Pucon – there are 6 luxury tree houses in the middle of nature. Its absolutely beautiful. So after a day of kayaking and rafting they went for a nice dinner and walked back to the hotel. Karla was exhausted and so Peter was like: you should get comfy and hang out in the terrace, I’ll make you some tea and come join you. So she did that and Karla sat outside, it was so peaceful and intimate. Then she see’s Peter come outside, holding this gorgeous tray with some flowers, her favorite dessert (raspberry pie) a tea cup and a little black velvet box. He put the tray on the table and quickly got on one knee. He asked Karla to marry him and she said YES!!
Kyle and Kendyl are the sweetest. They are both bubbly, smitten with one another and I couldn’t be happier that they chose me to photograph their engagement session and wedding day! These two chose to have their engagement session in Cincinnati. If you know me, you know I love to travel and obviously said YES […]
I had the most fabulous time with Kristen and Jessey for their engagement session. We decided to host their session at the Lexington Botanical Gardens and it couldn’t have been prettier! Kristen’s white dress was so stunning and did you see her shoes! She looked So stunning. Jessey cleans up so great himself and I’m […]
