Ruffner Family Evansville IN Film Session

Oh goodness how I adore the Ruffner Family. I met Shillawna a little over a year ago at a marketing party! She invited me to her home not too long after and we immediately hit it off talking about everything under the moon. Love. Kids. Marriage. Photography. Being mom’prenuers! Since then, we’ve always managed to set time aside for our families to hang out and have fun. Whether it be just us, our entire families or a play date at each others houses. Our kids adore each other and I love that we met!

Her family is so precious and I’m so incredibly honored to have documented this season in their lives. I’ve slowly made my way from using mostly digital to using mostly film, especially for family/portrait sessions. I knew that Shillawna’s family and the kids knew me so I asked them to model for me so I could build a film portfolio! When they said yes, I was over the moon. The first day we met, it decided to rain on us so we ended up rescheduling and boy were we happy we did! We had the most amazing light on the new scheduled day!

This session was a blast and it’s such a treat to get to photograph another photographers family. I know these images will be treasured for a lifetime.
