I will never get over how much these two smile and giggle at one another. Their entire engagement session was full of fun and laughter. They arrived at our location for the session and Lauren had on these super cute leather heels. I told her we were going to go for a small short hike was that ok? She said YEP! And without hesitation, this beautiful person trekked alongside myself and Joe so we could hit this beautiful sunlit spot. Lauren, you are definitely my person all the way! Heels and all ready for anything! I love that so much! These two are amazing and so personable. I loved getting to know them better as a couple. It is SO important to me to really get to know my couples and what better way than through an engagement session?! These two nailed it and I am SO lucky to know them and be the one who gets to document their beautiful wedding next year!
Their proposal story :
Flash back to Lauren’s freshman year at Indiana University. She rushed a sorority and her roommate Kendall (who would later become her MOH) got a bid into the same sorority. Soon after joining, they began hanging out and socializing with different fraternities as part of a new pledge class. Phi Psi was where Lauren met Joe, and funny enough they were introduced through mutual Evansville friends. He was such a gentleman, very respectful and hilarious all at the same time. He was a nut about IU sports, especially IU Basketball – which Lauren would later find out after going to many games together. Joe asked Lauren to go to Phi Psi’s spring formal and she didn’t hesitate to say YES. Following the formal and time spent together during her freshman year she was convinced that he was a solid guy and very different from all the others. The two dated all through their college years. Joe was a year older than Lauren in school, and once he graduated he went to Maurer School of Law at IU. During the years Joe was in law school a lot happened between their two lives. They were there for each other through everything, even being long distance. There was no doubt in Lauren’s mind that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. At Joe’s law school graduation their families sat together. Following the ceremony, they met up and began to take pictures among other graduates by the Showalter Fountain. Joe and Lauren were snapping a couple pictures together and Joe began kneeling onto the ground. Lauren was totally shocked!! Joe pulled out a small black box opening the lid slowly and asked Lauren to marry him. What a surprise this was for her! She knew it was going to happen sooner or later but had no idea that Joe would be selfless enough to propose to me on his law school graduation day.
Lauren and Joe, thank you SO much for being so amazing already! I just LOVE your engagement session! I can’t wait to hear more about your wedding plans and watch your big day dreams come to life!
Kyle and Kendyl are the sweetest. They are both bubbly, smitten with one another and I couldn’t be happier that they chose me to photograph their engagement session and wedding day! These two chose to have their engagement session in Cincinnati. If you know me, you know I love to travel and obviously said YES […]
I had the most fabulous time with Kristen and Jessey for their engagement session. We decided to host their session at the Lexington Botanical Gardens and it couldn’t have been prettier! Set your budget The first thing you really need to do is set your wedding photography budget. This will allow you to know where you are before inquiring. One of the most common mistakes brides make {from my own experience and what I hear in the wedding world} is that brides inquire without really knowing […]
