Each year we are so blessed to get to dress up and get family portraits. At then end of the year, we use the images for our Family Christmas Card. This year, our great friend Shillawna took a few family portraits for us right before it started to rain. Luckily, our family did amazing and we were able to quickly capture our family portraits and some fun candids too. We are so blessed to have these images and so thankful Shillawna rocked our family session despite the weather and hustle to capture these in such limited time! You are amazing my friend!
This year we celebrated Christmas at home with our family of 6. Our traditions include Christmas Eve lunch as a family somewhere nice like TGI Fridays {that’s where we ate this year}, a car ride while drinking hot cocoa to see Christmas lights, we go to our candlelight church service and celebrate the birth of our savior and then when we get home we open up Christmas P.J.’s.
On Christmas morning after the gifts are opened and we’ve eaten breakfast…we always watch a favorite movie. This year, we all voted on The Lion King. Talk about a cry fest in the Shank House! Then we started a new tradition this year! Nerf Wars! What a wonderful Christmas this has been and we are so blessed to share a little of ours with you.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
Kyle and Kendyl are the sweetest. They are both bubbly, smitten with one another and I couldn’t be happier that they chose me to photograph their engagement session and wedding day! These two chose to have their engagement session in Cincinnati. If you know me, you know I love to travel and obviously said YES […]
I had the most fabulous time with Kristen and Jessey for their engagement session. We decided to host their session at the Lexington Botanical Gardens and it couldn’t have been prettier! Kristen’s white dress was so stunning and did you see her shoes! She looked So stunning. Jessey cleans up so great himself and I’m […]
Jayden and Hannah are one of my all time favorite couples. They are super laid back, fun and so amazing to be around. They had the most beautiful wedding day at Evansville Country Club. These two shared so many incredible moments and it was so hard to just choose a few images for the blog! […]

One of our favorite perks as wedding photographers, is constantly getting to meet and work with new people. We also get to travel and we adore traveling for weddings. While we have been blessed to work at venues in our area, we really enjoy expanding our photography horizon to new places with new backdrops and […]
Set your budget The first thing you really need to do is set your wedding photography budget. This will allow you to know where you are before inquiring. One of the most common mistakes brides make {from my own experience and what I hear in the wedding world} is that brides inquire without really knowing […]
