Davin & Katlyn’s Backyard Kentucky Film Wedding

These two are one of our favorite couples. They are sweet, genuine and so laid back in both their personalities. Every single time I see Davin and Katlyn, he’s always making her smile and laugh. Sometimes on purpose on and sometimes just in normal everyday conversation. She is literally always smiling and giggling at him.

When I first met Katlyn at my studio, she walked in and right away gave me a hug. We wasted no time hopping into a conversation about her color palette, details and tone she was setting for her big day. We talked about everything under the moon when it came to planning her wedding. Half the time we were discussing everything, we were laughing together and finishing each other’s sentences. She is an SSP bride through and through. She loved our style of photography and the film images. This obviously made our hearts so happy. By the end of the meeting, we knew we were doing this together and I was so happy to be part of her big day.

Davin and Katlyn planned a gorgeous backyard wedding at their family farm in Madisonville, Kentucky. We watched their wedding dreams come true as soon as Prim and Proper Events started setting up. They had their beautiful outdoor reception space with gorgeous tables with the dusty blue table cloths, greenery and florals and Davin’s bourbon bottles repurposed. Twinkle lights were covering the whole space to set the mood. The outdoor bar was beautiful and displayed the his and her drink options. The double doors led to a beautiful “outdoor” church with vintage window frames as their backdrop and church pews for all of their guests. This wedding was just designed so beautifully. We watched as everything was set up all the way to the glass goblets being filled with ice water. Stunning Katlyn and Davin. Just stunning.

These two shared in such a gorgeous wedding day from getting ready all the way through to a sunset first dance. Right before their sparkler send off, Davin and Katlyn dug up the buried bourbon! Davin and Katlyn, we are so honored to be the ones who you chose to document your big day. From getting ready with mom tearing up, first look with your dad and bridesmaids to the first look with Davin that was so sweet. The way you walked down the isle and giggled at Davin and the ceremony exit that was just gorgeous with the sunset behind the two of you are just a few memories that will be cherished for a lifetime and beyond. We are SO excited to blog your beautiful wedding day. Becca, Cori and I are beyond grateful for everything and for all the kindness from everyone! We can’t wait to design your wedding book that holds these precious memories!!
