Despite Covid pushing our team session back for months, we are still so grateful we were able to travel to Nashville for these team portraits last month! Our team photo-shoot with Sarah Nichole Photography was amazing.

We really love creating this blog post each year so that our friends and couples can get to know US a little better. We share who we are, what we do and 3 fun facts you may not know about us!

We are the SSP Team! Ellie, Sharin and Kay. Together, we document love stories and help preserve legacies for sweet couples.

Sharin Shank

Owner + Founder + Wedding Photographer

Photographs weddings on Saturdays, engagement sessions during the week, works at her home studio, manages the SSP team, keeps up with engagement session and wedding workflows, edits and blogs all the pretty images, creates educational content for couples and photographers, loves her husband and kiddos with all her heart, enjoys reading, good food, working out and traveling to new places each year.

3 fun facts about Sharin:

We basically live in Kentucky during the summers and really enjoy having our own camper and boat so we can spend quality time as a family.

I would rather eat tacos than wings. Sure wings are great, but tacos are life!

I used to be a cheerleader. Everyone who meets me says I have a really “bubbly” personality. Imagine that!

Second Photographer + Studio Assistant

Second shoots weddings on Saturdays, helps Sharin stay on top of things in the studio during the week, styles up welcome gifts and USB boxes for our couples, avid Netflix watcher, loves a good book, crazy dog mom to her puppy Captain and is a lover of great food.

3 fun facts about Ellie:

I have the sweetest black lab puppy named Captain. He’s incredibly spunky and full of energy!

My favorite season of the year is summer. You can always find me by the pool with a cold drink in my hand.

I have always wanted to visit Greece, preferably Santorini.

Associate Wedding Photographer

Photographs weddings on Saturdays, sessions during the week, and helps create educational content for photographers, is a sucker for breakfast food, Taco Tuesday and can’t live without iced coffee.

3 fun facts about Kay:

I was born and raised in Florida.

I would love to take a master gardening class.

I’ve been dating the sweetest guy, Dan, for nearly 2 years. Our favorite date night would be at Livery Restaurant in Indianapolis.
