Grant + Jennifer are SO much fun! We both arrived at West Baden Springs Hotel for their engagement session around an hour early. When we saw each other we immediately started laughing because we were so early. She laughed and said we were going to grab a drink. I laughed harder because SO WAS I! So we grabbed a little table, a glass of wine and ended up talking for 30 minutes before the session. It was so great to meet Grant and to just candidly talk to both of them. We got to know each other a little bit and it was just such a great opener for the session.
These two met through mutual friends a few years before they started dating. When Grant knew that she was the one, he set up his proposal. On a December weekend before the holidays would hit, He took her to dinner at Farmer + Frenchman. After dinner they ran around looking at Christmas Lights. He was planning to propose but it started raining. It rained the entire evening. When they got back to Jennifers house, he decided that he would ask. He got down on one knee and the rest is history! Now, these two are planning a gorgeous French Lick Wedding! I’m super pumped about it because I adore French Lick. I love the area and how amazing the entire atmosphere is.
These two are so amazing and friendly. Their engagement session was so much fun. Grant was actually sick the day of the session. He wasn’t sick as in hurting and feeling bad but the kind of sick where his voice made him sound like a caveman. I totally took advantage of Grant during this session and was definitely on a mission. I love genuine laughter, real posing and when my couples feel they can laugh hard. I mean at the silly stuff. So, with Grants cave man voice, I would have him whisper what he had for breakfast in Jennifer’s ear. KNOWING it would sound SO funny! Before he even started talking, we all were laughing. I mean a good full out laugh. We all had such an amazing time and I’m so glad they let me photograph them on film! I can’t wait for their September wedding at French Lick!
This post makes my heart happy because the images are all film. I’m seriously head over heels and I love showing these images off! Happy Friday Friends! Enjoy this amazing weekend!
